Description: Five separate waterfalls make up the Bolton Potholes swimming area; each one filling a large round rock bowl as the brook descends the hillside. Joiner brook is quite small, but the potholes remain filled with water throughout the summer and are deep enough to swim in. The last pool opens up to a large, stony beach. A very nice, very popular nude swimming place. Great place to go for nude sunbathing and skinnydipping. Nudity is well known known and accepted. This spots gets a lot of college kids.

Directions: From Burlington take Route 2 east until you pass under the bridge overpass in Bolton. Take a left on Bolton Valley Road. Go up the hill until you pass a sign welcoming you to Bolton Valley Ski Area. As you progress up the hill you will see numerous dirt roads on the right. Most any of them are ok to use. Our favorite is to park down the hill in the UVM Outing Club area. The water is easily found at the bottom of the hill.
