Vermont Skinnydipping Spots
TWEED RIVER Stockbridge, Vermont
Description: A famous clothing optional area with pools, tubs and flumes "used for skinny dipping by careful, responsible people."
Directions: From Rutland, take Route 4 east to Route 100 north to the fork where Route 107 goes off to the east just south of Stockbridge. Continue north on Route 100 to just past the fork with Route 107, a few yards past the "Restaurant Entrance". It is the wedged property bounded by Route 107 to the south and Route 100 to the north. Just around the curve, north of the "Restaurant Entrance", is a large pull-off. Park here and walk on the jeep trail to the right, parallel to the Tweed River. (There is a spot where you walk by the curve on Route 100, but you continue parallel to the river.) If you stayed on the trail that leads back from the restaurant and to the river, you will come to the slide and whirlpool.
